Except, I don’t have a home, I have a parcel. I’ve been in Second Life for over 12 years off and on. I have probably 15-20 homes, apartments, and skyboxes that sit in my inventory and never get used. That doesn’t include the other types of shelters I have. That doesn’t stop me from buying them. I get them set up and then I get bored with it because it eats up space and doesn’t do anything.
I do have an awesome apartment from Akaesha that goes up in a flash for those moments when I’m entertaining guests. I bought it because I knew I’d want a place, then not want it, then want it. This one pops up with decor and furniture and super simple.
So now, my home consists of a beach and a meditation hut. I still don’t use it. LOL I don’t come to second life for a house. I come to chat with people, play and be “outside”. But I wanted to put some personal touches to the place so I decided on a “sign” wall.
I picked up several that had a “feel” to me. I also grabbed a couple for Nelson because he hangs out there as much as I do. (His is the beer and the harley sign, though I drink beer and ride motorcycles, too.) It’s actually his fault that I decided to do the sign wall. He put up the “shIT Happens” sign.
It’s the little things that make me smile. You have to appreciate them when they come along. ♥
