The clothing options for women are AWESOME in Second Life. Not so much for the guys.
However, the creators have a lot to do with how something looks on your, I think. I’m not a creator. But I know that some clothing makes certain areas appear larger than they are. I get it, mesh and all that.
It reminds me of when I switched undergarments in real life. I don’t have small breasts and I bought a bra that actually DID something, instead of just covering them. A friend said “Did you get a boob job?”
I don’t go around changing my avatar, my shape, my mesh, etc. I change the hair and that’s all. I like her how she is…. and I’ve learned how to spot certain clothing that might not look favorable. Shoulders seem particularly hard to do, I’m noticing. I like a nice square shoulder, not the round droopy ones.
We won’t even get started about long gowns in SL. I don’t wear them. Maybe when they can look better while dancing. 🙂
